The story of African Community Fellowship Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids Michigan stands as a powerful illustration of God's faithfulness, provision and grace. For the last 15 years, the lord has taken our story and transformed it into a way of telling His story.
AFCRC began in the hearts of Reverend Mwaya Kitavi in1995 along with a team of faithful pioneers who shared a vision of planting a church to minister to the africans and friends of Africa in west Michigan. They imagined a vibrant church alive with music that would engage people with the relevant and meaningful message about the truth and grace available in Jesus Christ.
AFCRC moved from the previous location (3060 Madison Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508) to the current location in 2016. Under the leadership of our Senior Pastor, Reverend John Mondi, We feel blessed to have a congregation that is continually growing both in faith and numbers.
By the grace of God, we also support short and long-term missionaries abroad. All of this to the glory of God—And we believe that it is just a seed for what God has called us to in the future.
