Our Ministries

Mission & Vision: The Wednesday Prayer Meeting exists to cultivate a praying church that seeks God’s face in His presence, carries His heart, and stands in the gap for others. Our vision is to see lives, families, and communities transformed through the presence and power of God. We believe prayer is not just a church activity, but the engine of ministry where we align with heaven and contend for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face... then I will hear from heaven” 2Chronicles 7:14.
Main Purpose: Each Wednesday we gather to share the Word, worship and praise God, and reflect on His faithfulness in every season. We set aside time to quiet our hearts and listen to God’s voice. Together, we give ourselves selflessly to intercessory prayer for our families, the church and its ministries, our community, and the nations. Paul urges believers to make prayer a consistent, serious priority in their lives. “ Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful ” Colossians 4:2
Our meetings also include times of thanksgiving, personal testimonies of God’s work, and special prayer sessions for urgent needs and upcoming events, believing that, “ The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective”James 5:16.

The ACFC Praise Team (Singing Team) is a worship-leading choir. Leading means engaging, prompting, guiding, and showing the way in worship of God. Leading is not only about demonstrating; it requires those who follow to participate.
Biblical Foundation
1 Chronicles 15:16 – “Then David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their relatives the singers, with instruments of music, harps, lyres, loud-sounding cymbals, to raise sounds of joy.” II Chronicles 29:27-30 (v.28) “While the whole assembly worshiped, the singers also sang, and the trumpets sounded…” Eph 5:19 – “…speaking to one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16 – “Let the word of Christ dwell richly within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
The Purpose of Worship Leading Choir
● Encourages congregational participation and participates with the congregation in all music: The Praise Team exists to help stir the congregation to worship God, sing, and make music from the heart.
● Does not replace the congregation but inspires the congregation and draws them into the awesome presence of God, to partake of his blessings.
● “Singing to the Lord,” not “singing FOR the Lord or the congregation.” We sing to God, as our Praise and Worship rise to Him, He pours down His blessings on us.
Our Mission
● Lead the congregation in awe-inspiring worship!
● Communicate the truth of the gospel holistically with our lives and in our songs!
● Demonstrate a heart for worship, humble, willing, and teachable!
● To reach out, be willing to take the music we love into a world that needs the love of God!
Our Goal
To lead and help the congregation feel and recognize the need to worship God and thus participate in worship. This is extremely important because when we fail to “lead worship,” the congregation becomes nothing more than spectators watching a concert! When we become a performance-driven choir, we can fall into the trap of creating beautiful music solely for “beauty.” That music can fail to communicate.
We are willing vessels, made usable by the Loving God we serve through grace.

ACFC Children’s Ministry serves children ages 3 to 11 every Sunday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. We believe that “children are a heritage from the Lord” Psalm 127:3 , and we partner with parents to “start children off on the way they should go” Proverbs 22:6 , laying a strong foundation for their faith in Christ.
All our lessons are Bible-centered and divided into two age groups — 3 to 6 years and 7 to 11 years — so that “we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord” Psalm 78:4 in ways they understand. Throughout the year we create fun, faith-building experiences including on-site movies, theater outings, and trips to the zoo and museum, because we serve “the joy of the Lord is your strength” Nehemiah 8:10.
Our children actively participate in monthly Family Sundays and special services by memorizing Scripture and singing songs of praise, learning that “out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise”
Matthew 21:16.
We are planting seeds of truth, “for God gives the growth”
1 Corinthians 3:6, as we raise a generation that knows and loves Jesus.

ACFCRC Women’s Ministry Vision, Purpose, and Pillars
The Vision
To be a vibrant sisterhood of God’s daughters, bound together in Christ's covenant fellowship and prayer, where women of all backgrounds are transformed by His Word and equipped to declare God's love through Christ's gospel, His sovereignty, and Lordship over all creation."
The Purpose
"Answering the call to 'go to the house of the LORD to worship' (Psalm 122:1), we gather as a united sisterhood to foster deep fellowship, study the Scriptures, celebrate our diverse African and global heritages, and partner together to share the Good News of God’s Kingdom with the world."
Foundational Pillars
● Authentic Fellowship & Sisterhood in Christ: Cultivating deep, life-giving relationships where women of God pray for, support, and walk alongside one another in every season of life (1 John 1:5; 4:7-8; Romans 12:14-16).
● Generational & Cultural Honor: Bridging traditional African expressions of faith, respect for elders, and vibrant prayer with the realities of navigating a new culture (2 Timothy 2:2; Proverbs 27:17; 1 Corinthians 11:1; Proverbs 13:20; Psalm 145:4).
● Deep Scriptural Literacy: Moving past surface fellowship into rigorous, transformative study of God's Word to build spiritual resilience (Ephesians 4:11-16; Psalm 19:7-14; Psalm 119:11).
● Kingdom Hospitality: Making the ministry an active "open door" that assists with both spiritual discipleship and practical community integration (Galatians 6:9-10; Romans 12:13; Leviticus 19:33-34; Deuteronomy 10:18-19; Proverbs 25:21-22; Isaiah 58:7; Genesis 18:1-8). How We Live This Out We actively fulfill our purpose and bring these pillars to life through the following strategic ministries and actions:
● Bible Study: Gathering for deep, Christ-centered scriptural instruction to grow in a biblical worldview (Acts 2:42-47; Psalm 119:105; Joshua 1:8).
● Prayer Meetings: Interceding with vibrant, faithful prayer for our families, our local community, and the global church in the power of the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17; James 4:7-8; Hebrews 4:16).
● Fellowship Gatherings: Creating intentional spaces for fellowship, allowing women to bond, share life, and build lasting sisterhood in Christ (Hebrews 10:24-25; Acts 2:42; Isaiah 1:18).
● Community Outreach: Serving as the hands and feet of Jesus by sharing the Good News and offering practical support to our neighbors and newly arrived immigrants (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15).
● Youth & Children’s Ministry Sponsorship: Investing heavily in the next generation by sponsoring events that pass down a living, robust faith to our young people (Galatians 6:2; Ephesians 6:4; Proverbs 22:6; 1 Timothy 1:5).
